Mr. Chan Meng Kam, Chairman of the Council for City University of Macau, along with Dr. Qiu Xiaohua, Director for the Institute of Economics and Professor Xing Wenxiang, Vice-Rector of the University, visited Fujian Province recently. They had several discussions with local officials regarding City U's cooperation and development opportunity in Fujian. Mr. Chen Hua, Standing Committee member of CPC Fujian Province Committee, Deputy Governor and Secretary of Educational Working Committee, Mr. Li Qiang, Deputy Secretary General of the Fujian Provincial government, Mr. Ju Weiqiang, Director General of the Education Department of Fujian Province and Mr. Li Hong, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Fujian Province welcomed Mr. Chan and company. During the meeting, the provincial leaders praised Mr. Chan’s love for his hometown Fujian as well as his love for Macau and China, and thanked him for his contribution to Fujian all these years. They also stated their eagerness on expanding the scope of exchanges and cooperation with City University of Macau. In return, Mr. Chan Meng Kam expressed gratitude towards his hometown, and said that he hope to continue contributing more for Fujian in the future by actively pursuing educational exchanges and cooperation through City University of Macau.
