On the afternoon of May 23rd, a four-member delegation led by Huaqiao University's Vice President Wu Jihuai visited City University of Macau. They were received by City University’s Vice Rector and Registrar Professor Xing Wenxiang, Executive Director Robert Chan and others for a meeting.

Vice Rector Prof. Xing Wenxiang introduced the origins and recent developments of City University, and indicated that the University has been expanding comprehensively on all levels of higher education, expressing the wish to take this opportunity to collaborate more fully with Huaqiao University. Vice President Wu Jihuai in turn stated that Huaqiao University has been actively developing international collaboration and exchange projects in recent years, hopefully the collaboration with City U of Macau could promote further progress in both universities. A number of matters were then discussed by both parties, including the development directions and arrangements for multiple collaborations; a preliminary agreement was made and the overall objective was agreed upon. Prof. Xing Wenxiang hoped that both universities would seek to use creative thinking, select only the best and strive for perfection in these collaborations.

Other participants of this meeting also included: Huaqiao University’s Dean of   College of Continuing Education Chen Qingjun, Vice Dean of College of Law Zhong Weili, Macau Liaison Office Director Chen Zhong, City University of Macau’s Assistant Director of Academic Division Gary Hong and Rector’s Office Secretary Iris Lei, among others.
