CityU, China Development Institute co-organize colloquium to study new quality productive forces and high-quality development in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

The Research Centre for Macau Social and Economic Development (RCMSED) of City University of Macau (CityU) and the China Development Institute (CDI) co-organized a colloquium at the Taipa Campus to discuss the building of new quality productive forces and high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The colloquium was moderated by Vice Rector Ip Kuai Peng and featured speeches from faculty and research fellows from the two sides on topics such as talent cultivation, industry-academia collaboration, R&D, and regional coordination. Liu Guohong, deputy director of CDI, also shared his view at the colloquium. The event aimed to provide insights on how Macao could leverage its strengths and geographical advantages to build new quality productive forces and fully realize the leading role of innovation, with support from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Henqin. Other initiatives discussed included higher education collaboration, preferential policies, and mutually recognized mechanisms, which aimed to promote structural upgrading and transformation of industries and contribute to national development.
