A student team consisting of four postgraduate students from the Faculty of International Tourism and Management at City University of Macau won third prize at the group presentation session of the SJM Luxury Service Experience Bootcamp. Supervised by Lecturer Janice Law Yin Man, students Xu Rui, Yang Zhifeng, Li Mengxi, and Li Yanze participated in the four-day bootcamp. The bootcamp, organized by SJM Resorts, S.A. and the Forbes Travel Guide, comprised systematic training sessions and invited teams from local universities to participate in fierce competitions. Participating students, acting as mystery shoppers, learned to draw on “Forbes Travel Guide” service standards to evaluate the star-rated hotels and dining facilities of SJM Resorts. CityU team’s observations, presented at the presentation session, were well-received by the management judges for their insightful attention to details.
