The City University of Macau (CityU) recently held a seminar to learn about the key takeaways of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), focusing on the theme of “Deepening reforms to open up a broader prospect for Chinese modernization.” The seminar, jointly organized by the Graduate School and the Research Centre for Macau Social and Economic Development, brought together scholars to discuss the opportunities presented by the third plenum on deepening reforms.
The seminar addressed various aspects of Chinese modernization, including institutional innovation, the development of new quality productive forces, ecology synergies, high-quality development, the role of education, as well as the development of a comprehensive financial law system. They urged Macao to leverage its strengths to build on “one center, one platform, one base” model, fully integrating into national development.
Scholars also shared their insights on how Macao can contribute to the national development agenda and propel Macao’s “1+4” economic diversification development through technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
