The City University of Macau (CityU) and MGM signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday to launch the “Responsible Gaming Project at Campus,” a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting responsible gaming (RG) among students. The agreement was signed by CityU Vice Rector Zhou Wanlei and Wong Sok Kuan, director of Responsible Gaming at MGM. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Teng Sio Hong, deputy director of the Macao SAR Government Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), Tian Han, executive vice president of Gaming Operations and Strategic Marketing at MGM, and Rector Jun Liu.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding marked a significant step in the collaboration between CityU and MGM in promoting responsible gaming. Both parties will leverage their strengths and resources to develop a series of targeted promotional programs. This would broaden the reach of responsible gaming initiatives within university campuses, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of its importance through practical activities. The project would enhance students’ financial management skills and help prevent problem gambling, ultimately contributing to a boarder and more robust safety net for the local community.
