Three student teams from the Faculty of Business at City University of Macau triumphed at the China Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao Accounting and Business Case Competition 2024, securing a championship, two gold awards, and a silver award.
The championship and a gold award were claimed by Shao Wenjing, Yang Zhenming, and Liu Wenxi, students from the International Business Cohort (IBC), an undergraduate program. Under the guidance of Lecturer Mona Xu Mo, Senior Lecturer Cathy Cheong Hang I, and Assistant Professor Yu Bangxing, the team’s exceptional case analysis and innovative thinking propelled them to the top. Meanwhile, the master’s class in business administration team, comprising Liang Wenbin, Hong Yihang, Teng Huishuang, and Li Boning, secured a gold award under the supervision of Assistant Professor Huang Yicong and Lecturer Mona Xu Mo. Jointly supervised by Assistant Professor Tiffany Cheng Han Leung, Senior Lecturer Cathy Cheong Hang I, and Assistant Professor Tom Xi Xunzhuo, another IBC student team, consisting of Liu Xingyi, Yang Bowen, Zhang Shurui, Ruiqi He, and Zhang Yiyi, earned a silver award.
The competition was organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and the Data Science Lab at the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science of the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
