The City University of Macau (CityU) recently organized an academic exchange trip for young talents from Macau and Taiwan to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The group, consisting of 17 students and faculty from CityU, National Cheng Kung University, and Shu-Te University in Taiwan, participated in a series of visits and exchanges.
In Macau, the group held an academic exchange forum where the three universities shared their unique characteristics, talent cultivation programs, and strengths in various disciplines. They also visited the Sino-Portugal Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Science of Cultural Heritage Conservation. To immerse themselves in local culture, they toured the Macao Grand Prix Museum, Lotus Square, Macao Science Center, Macao Museum, and other city’s heritage sites, such as the Ruins of St. Paul’s. The group then traveled to Shenzhen, where they visited universities and renowned companies, including Shenzhen University’s Marine Culture Science and Education Base and the School of Design and Innovation, Huawei’s Ark One Space Intelligent Open Laboratory, Tencent Headquarters, and SenseTime Technology.
Through this program, participants gained valuable insights into technological innovation, the educational and research environment of the GBA, fostering friendships and laying the foundation for future collaborations.
