The Faculty of Data Science and the International Training and Testing Center at City University of Macau (CityU), in collaboration with the School of Integrated Circuits at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), recently hosted a training program on artificial intelligence (AI) and information security. The program, held at CityU’s campus, welcomed 22 BUPT students eager to expand their knowledge and skills in these fields.
At the opening ceremony, Andy Liu Wenjian, associate dean of the Faculty of Data Science at CityU, and Yan Fulong, associate researcher at BUPT, along with BUPT program coordinator Lu Ying, addressed the students. They emphasized the importance of proactive learning and encouraged them to apply their newfound knowledge to their future careers.
Beyond theoretical learning, students engaged in discussions with industry experts at key institutions like the Coloane Power Station of the Macau Electricity Company, CTM - Macau Telecom Company, Ltd., the Macao Science Center, the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre, and the Cybersecurity Incident Alert and Response Centre. These visits provided valuable insights into the development of the electronic engineering and network sector in Macao, offering a practical experience to their classroom studies.
