City University of Macau (CityU) welcomed the start of a new academic year today, with students and faculty alike brimming with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective as they returned to the classroom. Ready to embark on a new learning journey, the three campuses orderly commenced classes for 272 different sections on the first day.
Rector Jun Liu, along with Vice Rectors Zhou Wanlei, Han Wei, and Ip Kuai Peng, conducted a tour of the classes, assessing the teaching operations and the functionality of teaching equipment to ensure a smooth start to the semester.
During their rounds, the university leadership visited classrooms across various faculties, engaging in heartfelt conversations with students and faculty. They inquired about the students’ experience in class, offering encouragement for the new semester. They urged everyone to keep on enriching themselves, cherish resources, strive for excellence in their studies, embrace new challenges, and reap the rewards of their hard work.
This year, CityU has welcomed over 4,000 new students and over 90 new academic staff members.
