A delegation led by Ge Minghua, president of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital, visited City University of Macau (CityU) today, where they were warmly welcomed by Rector Jun Liu. During the visit, both institutions signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at jointly carrying out high-quality research and cultivating healthcare and data science talent, thereby strengthening regional health development. The delegation toured the Taipa Campus, including the Sino-Portugal Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Science of Cultural Heritage Conservation supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In-depth discussions were held regarding industry-academia collaboration, joint training of postgraduate students, and academic exchanges.
Rector Liu highlighted CityU’s achievements in historical development, academic disciplines, faculty resources, and external exchanges, emphasizing mutual learning and collaboration in academic research and education. Dr. Ge discussed the hospital’s history, vision, and key developments, particularly in smart healthcare research, highlighting his hope to collaborate in areas such as geriatrics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and digital medicine.
In the afternoon, the delegation met with the Faculty of Health and Wellness and the Faculty of Data Science to explore prospects for cooperation.
