As a Ph.D. graduate in education from CityU, Han Jing returned to her alma mater as a guest speaker to share her journey from athlete to civil servant in the SAR Government, as well as her experiences in the CPPCC. Han discussed the harsh realities of competitive sports, emphasizing that achieving perfection on the field requires rigorous training day and night. She expressed pride in being the first world champion from Macao after its return to China.

Han shared her feelings during her transition from athlete to public servant, highlighting the numerous learning opportunities she received under the care of the SAR Government, which led her to join the Policy Research and Regional Development Bureau. They transformed pressure into motivation, training diligently every day to continually surpass themselves.

The athletes encouraged students to confront challenges head-on and overcome personal obstacles, as each difficulty presents an opportunity for growth. Additionally, student representatives from CityU presented thoughtfully prepared commemorative gifts to the Olympic athletes as a gesture of admiration and gratitude.

Subsequently, the Olympic athletes joined the guests and CityU faculty and students in singing the song “My Motherland and I,” expressing their deep patriotic feelings.
