The Digital Health Asia 2025 Summit, organized by Times Higher Education (THE) in partnership with the City University of Hong Kong and its Institute of Digital Medicine, was successfully held in Hong Kong from September 8 to 10. Under the theme “Collaborating on New Technologies for Better Healthcare”, this year’s summit brought together over 420 healthcare experts, industry innovators, investors, and policymakers from 17 countries and regions to discuss the future of digital health. 

 

During the event, the hosting torch of the Digital Health Asia was officially passed to City University of Macau for the next edition on March 30-31, 2026, in Macao. Rector Jun Liu was invited to attend the closing ceremony, where he presented an overview of Macao and highlighted the achievements of the University, warmly inviting all sectors to participate in this grand event.  

 

 

In his speech, Rector Jun Liu stated that the successful hosting of the Digital Health Asia 2025 has set a benchmark for exchange and collaboration in the field, allowing participants to experience the innovations and applications of cutting-edge technologies such as AI-assisted diagnosis, predictive algorithms, and digital medical tools. 

 

He indicated that the next summit will focus on AI-empowered healthcare applications, exploring the in-depth integration and achievements transformation of traditional medicine and advanced technology to further promote the convergence of technology and healthcare. 

 

Rector Liu also warmly invited experts and scholars from all over the world to come to Macao next March to discuss the future of digital health and jointly build a more inclusive and innovative new era in healthcare. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The summit gathered over 50 leading figures in digital health globally. Speakers came from diverse countries and regions including mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, Canada, and the Middle East, representing academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations. Participants engaged in discussions on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and health data, biotechnology and digital health, as well as collaboration and commercialization in the field.
